General

About Cadence Analytics

Who runs Cadence Analytics Lab?
Cadence is run by a team of university students across Canada studying analytical chemistry and related fields. We built the lab to put that training to use, fund our education, and offer a lower cost testing option for researchers and independent operators. There is no single fixed lab address. Orders are routed to whichever qualified team member has the right instrumentation, availability, and turnaround capacity.
Is Cadence Analytics Lab accredited?
No. Cadence is independent and not currently accredited. Accreditation is a planned future phase, not a current claim. If your application requires a result from a currently accredited lab, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether our documentation meets your specific requirement.
What instrumentation do you use?
Testing runs on three platforms: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with UV/Vis and diode array detection, Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), and Capillary Electrophoresis. See the Instrumentation page for the full breakdown of what each platform measures.

Ordering & Sample Submission

Placing an Order

How do I order a test?
Create an account, select your service from the Services page, and complete checkout. Testing services are virtual products, so there is no shipping step in the cart. Once payment is confirmed, you receive an email with the sample submission address, packaging instructions, and your expected turnaround time.
Where do I send my sample?
The mailing address is sent by email after your order is confirmed, not before. Because Cadence routes orders to whichever qualified team member has availability and the right instrumentation, the address depends on which lab is handling your order. This is also why we cannot post a single fixed address on the site.
Do you accept samples from outside Canada?
Yes, Cadence accepts samples from both Canadian domestic clients and the United States. Customs clearance and any border risk on the way in or out are the customer’s responsibility. See our Shipping & Returns page for what that means for US customers specifically.
What do I need to include with my sample?
Exact requirements depend on the service ordered and are confirmed in your order email, including quantity, packaging, and labelling. As a general rule, label your sample with your order number so it can be matched to your account on arrival.

Results & Verification

Your Certificate of Analysis

How long does testing take?
Average turnaround is approximately three days from sample receipt, though this varies by service and which lab is handling your order. Your confirmation email includes an expected turnaround time specific to your order.
What does the COA include?
Your Certificate of Analysis covers the headline results for the service ordered, peptide purity and identity, or environmental panel results, along with a Task Number and Verification Key. The PDF is emailed directly to you.
How do I verify a Certificate of Analysis?
Enter your Task Number and Verification Key into the verification tool on the homepage. Anyone holding those two values can confirm a result at any time, no account required. This lets you or anyone else confirm a COA is genuine.
I lost my Task Number or Verification Key. What do I do?
Contact us with your order number and we will help recover your COA details.

Pricing & Policy

Cost, Refunds & Privacy

How much does testing cost?
Pricing varies by service and panel. See the Peptide Testing, Environmental Testing, or Cannabis Testing pages for current rates on each program.
Can I get a refund once I’ve submitted a sample?
No. Once testing begins, your sample is consumed in the analytical process and cannot be returned, so refunds are not available after testing starts. Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Your test results and personal information are not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what we collect and how it’s used.
Why is cannabis testing listed as paused?
Cannabis testing capabilities remain in place, but the service is not currently offered to clients. We’re keeping the page live so the panel and instrumentation are visible for a future relaunch. See the Cannabis Testing page for the full capability list.
